Research and Evaluation
At our core, we are researchers and evaluators. We work closely with partners to design studies and evaluations that support data-driven decision making, produce real-world changes, and move us closer to equity. We engage in anti-assimilationist, anti-racist research, believing in research as action. We use participatory processes in our projects, strive to engage equitably with partners, aim to co-create and share knowledge, work to build and redistribute power, and view our scholarship as service to changemakers.
Research and Evaluation Projects
With funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, LZC is conducting applied research on the role of narratives in shaping frontline workers’ implementation of policies that advance immigrant inclusion and well-being.
The Greater Rochester Health Foundation’s Healthy and Equitable Futures Initiative (HEF) hired LZC/ICH to work collaboratively with Parent Leader Facilitators (PLFs) and the HEF team on a participatory action research project to identify impactful systems-change work to advance health and racial equity in education and child outcomes.
Building on prior work together to develop an evaluation framework for its work building cross-sector partnerships to improve Boston’s health ecosystem, Vital CxNs has engaged LZC to develop a survey tool that will assess the impact of its activities.
