IMMIGRANT SCHOLARS

The Leah Zallman Center is committed to mentoring early-career researchers from immigrant and underrepresented backgrounds. During our startup phase (2022-2025), LZC hosted more than 15 immigrant scholars pursuing higher education. Our Immigrant Scholar Internship Program offered hands-on training in community-based participatory research, evaluation methodology, and immigrant health equity.

Today, we accept interns and practicum students on an ad-hoc basis, based on current capacity, research needs, and student interests. Interns and Fellows participate in active research and evaluation projects under the mentorship of LZC and ICH staff. Past scholars have continued on to PhD programs, public health careers, and faculty positions.
