Supporting Quality Improvement in HIV Care

For several years, ICH has supported continuous quality improvement (QI) efforts for the Zinberg Clinic, which provides HIV care and services at Cambridge Health Alliance. ICH developed a database for HIV population health management that reduced the time required for data entry and report generation by 80%. ICH maintains the database with up-to-date patient data for all QI metrics and provides a quarterly dashboard summarizing performance. ICH also facilitates the development of an annual quality management plan, supports data analysis and monitoring for discrete QI projects, provides technical assistance on QI methodologies, and conducts surveys and qualitative data collection to explore gaps and areas of need. ICH’s support has enabled the Zinberg Clinic to meet funder reporting requirements and to use data efficiently and effectively for program improvement.
