Project Details

In partnership with the CHA Asylum Program (CHAAP) and the Center for Health Equity Education and Advocacy (CHEEA), LCZ is conducting a study to evaluate the impact of CHA’s pilot residency elective in asylum medicine, model the potential impact of an expanded version of the asylum medicine elective, and share best practices and policy implications of this research. The study will involve a landscape analysis of asylee services in Massachusetts, surveys and interviews with medical residents, interviews with CHA leadership, and quantitative modeling of the potential impacts of a scaled-up version of the residency elective. This one-year study is funded by the CHA Foundation.
